The village of Sannat

The village of Sannat is very close to the capital city of Victoria and is also close to the village of Xewkija which got a lovely church with a massive dome which is supported internally by 8 pillars. The Xewkija dome is the largest on the Maltese Islands plus is around 7m higher than London Saint Paul Cathedral. Sannat is very near to another village in the name of Munxar and Xlendi bay which got many seaside restaurants and bars plus dive centres and discos.
The village of Sannat is mostly known for horses and lace making.

As Sannat is located at the edge of the island of Gozo, this village got dramatic 120 metre cliffs in the name of Ta` Cenc cliffs. From Ta` Cenc cliffs you can enjoy the sunset and enjoy the carpets of lovely flowers including Malta national plant `Widnet il-Bahar`. Together with this natural beauty many birds nest at Ta` Cenc cliffs including the national bird.

Very close to Ta` Cenc cliffs you will find the ancient cart ruts and also close to this historic place you will find the lovely Mgarr ix-Xini bay that got clear blue waters. At Mgarr ix-Xini bay there are 5 fantastic spots to discover by snorkeling. At this village of Sannat you find everyday essentials such as food shops, butcher, bars, restaurants and a bank.
